Elizabeth Battiste
Public Affairs Director
Elizabeth Battiste is a skilled, national award-winning public relations and affairs professional with 12+ years of experience in the political sphere. Starting her career with the Michigan AFL-CIO during the so-called "right to work" battle of 2012, Elizabeth has trained and helped empower hundreds of workers to share their stories to advocate for good jobs, higher pay, and better working conditions.
In 2018, Elizabeth helped lead the successful ballot initiative campaign to end partisan gerrymandering in Michigan, leading to a pro-worker majority legislature. She has also helped build a digital consulting firm from the ground up, led social media strategy for a number of elected officials, fought for accountability during the Flint water crisis, and worked on democracy reform issues in a dozen states.
Elizabeth lives in Denver’s West Colfax neighborhood with her dog, Benji. When she’s not advocating for working families, Elizabeth is hitting the slopes, riding her bike, reading, or on her paddle board exploring Colorado’s beautiful landscapes.
