Chris Herrera - SW 3729
I am an APC Clerk. During my 40 years with Safeway, I’ve had a vested interest in the collective bargaining unit. I have participated with the negotiating team for the past 3 contracts. My interest has grown with each negotiation, and I have enjoyed the process. It is important to represent and voice the concerns of my fellow union members. Unions are more vital than ever to assure job security, fair wages, benefits and job safety. I will be retiring soon and am especially concerned about the proposed merger of Kroger and Albertsons.

Corrina Holcomb - ALB 841
I am a 29 year member of Albertsons Store 841 in Aurora, Colorado. I work in the meat department. I have served proudly on the bargaining committee for the last 3 contracts. I currently serve on the Executive Board since 2015 and a have been a Union Steward for 9 years. I stand tall for workers’ rights and understand the hard work it takes for the bargaining committee to help secure a good contract at the bargaining table. I am excited to see what our future holds with our upcoming contract.

Eddie Chavez - SW 835
I have been on the Executive Board for over 10 years. I’m a 45 year member with Local 1564 in Albuquerque for 16 years and 29 years with Local 7. I’ve worked in different capacities with Local 7 on multiple occasions. 3 years ago I was a Special Project Union Rep and assisted in taking on King Soopers during a 9 day strike. I’ve always worked hard to get the best contracts for our members. Thank you for allowing me to be on the Safeway negotiation committee.

Stephanie Barkman - SW 2910
I’m interested in learning all I can about the union, how we can better serve and support the employees of the company. I have worked for Safeway for 5 years, but I worked for Safeway about 13 years then left for almost a year before returning. I was hired for the fuel station, became a manager of fuel then went inside to hang tags, bookkeeper, stocked shelves for GM/HBC. I became a head clerk and then a front end manager before leaving . Now I’m a head clerk hang tags and back up bookkeeper. I also help in DUG. Thank you for giving me this opportunity.

I am proud of my working class background and want to make it clear to the bosses that labor is the backbone of their industry. We are to be respected and rewarded abundantly, for all that we do for them. They are NOTHING without us. They had best not forget that. SOLIDARITY FOREVER.

Elias Sanchez - SW 2810
I work at Safeway 2810 and have been there for 24 years. Not only am I honored to be on the committee, but I am also excited. One voice may not be heard, but a committee of voices is powerful. I always say knowledge is power. Why sit back and ask questions when you can be involved and answer them.

Tyler Herrington - SW 722
I have been at Safeway for just under 5 years and have worked in many departments. Currently, I am in the front end working as the Store Administrator. I want to be a part of the bargaining team because I really care about the future for myself and my fellow employees. These moments define the next few year's to come and this should mean a lot to anyone involved. I'm also interested in learning more about the union and what they have to offer. I also enjoy new opportunities and can't wait to try something new!

Ian Evans - SW 2919
I am an APC representing Store 2919. I have worked for Safeway for 9 years. I understand this is going to be an erratic time for all workers and I want to ensure that for Safeway and Kings Soopers that we achieve the best contract possible for next year. Let's keep our union strong and keep Safeway and Kings the best retail places in Colorado for benefitting our employees!

Kristy Delgado - SW 244
I'm a Technician Specialist for Safeway. I been with the company 22 years. We worked so hard day in and day out. We deserve to fight for better staffing, wages, and really all of the above. I currently work 12 hours shifts due to staffing. Keep in mind it's flu/covid season so we're constantly busy. As we roll in to bargaining, we need to be strong and willing to do what it takes to get a better contact. We are the UNION and we will conquer!
