King Soopers Strike - Hardship Request Form
HARDSHIP APPLICATION CRITERIA
The Hardship Fund can assist only with essential needs that have occurred since your strike date. When applying for Hardship, applications must be complete and accurate. Accounts must correspond to the individual applying for hardship (or their spouse). Hardship checks will be made payable only to the creditor (i.e., utilities, etc.).
Copies of statements for utilities, mortgages/rent, car payment, etc., should be submitted along with the application. This is to insure the confidentiality of individual accounts.
The following will be considered as priority hardship:
Utilities
Mortgages/Rent
Auto Payments
Medical Bills
The following will not be considered for hardship assistance:
Cable fees
Credit card payments
Storage fees
All other non-essentials
The initial contact to your utilities/creditors should be made by the applicant, not the Hardship Committee, to arrange some type of payment plan.
Applications will be reviewed by a committee of rank and file members, who will determine the priority of each application based on need and strike activity/participation.
Applicants will be expected to explain what actions they are prepared to take to meet their obligations.
